Having worked in museums and galleries throughout my career, having studied paintings and written about artists, I am thrilled to be making paintings and drawings today. I was enrolled in the Certificate Program in Illustration at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and have taken printmaking and illustration classes at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Massachusetts. I am working on a series of illustrated books using contemporary poetry to guide me, and I also search for poems in the headlines of newspapers for my Found Poetry project. I work with watercolor, woodcut prints, linocuts, cut paper, and, perhaps favorite and simplest of all, the sturdy 2B pencil.
